GenAI lessons
Lesson plans: worked-out workshops on generative AI, with a timeline, what to arrange beforehand, and what to do when the room turns out otherwise.
About this collection
A slide deck says what is on the screen, not what the trainer does. These lesson plans are the other way round: a timeline in minutes, what to arrange beforehand, where the demo comes unstuck, and how to serve a room in which one person uses this daily and another would rather it had never been invented.
They are written to be taken over. Depart from them where your group asks you to; each plan says where the room to move is.
If your interest is students rather than colleagues, see the AI literacy exercises.
Copilot in 90 minutes: a first encounter for staff
A workable plan for a short workshop on Copilot: timeline, demo, prompt model, three tracks for wildly mixed levels, and what to do with the objections that almost always come.
GenAI and AI literacy for teachers: an introduction
A plan for the second VU CTL Short: teachers work out for themselves what AI literacy means for them, the Taskforce advice sets a framework beside it, and a self-assessment against the chapters of both Companions shows everyone where their own gaps are.
What teachers need to know about students’ AI literacy
A plan for the first VU CTL Short: teachers work out for themselves what AI literacy is, two statements put that list under strain, and the Companion in Gemini Notebook shows that the same question answers differently twice.
